So does this only work with the prosilver theme?

Is it possible for it to just check if the API is valid, and then save the API-key in the profile information?

Originally by: Valek Rennesist Regarding the theme, by default, yes, it works with the prosilver theme (to guearantee everyone can use it). If you want to use it with another theme, all you have to do is edit the API-related sections of ucp_register.html and ucp_profile_reg_details.html to reflect the profile field display on your theme of choice.
Regarding registration being conditional on whether the API key is valid, that's doable, but I'd have to rewrite part of the mod to suit that purpose. I also don't see that particular "feature" getting a lot of use, so unless there's an overwhelming show of support for that, I'll probably let it be. If there's a lot of requests for it, I'll write it in and release it as 2.1 :)
Well the reason I'm asking is because my forums have an application process on them. To fill in an application you have to register on the forums. Hence, you won't be in the corp (at least not yet).
I understand that you don't want to implement an impopular feature. I'm just hoping. ;)

Sounds excellent mate. Thank you. As we're on the subject perhaps you could think about some other features as well (this time not something I need, but might benefit some):
+ A coalition option. Some groups of corporations coexist and are NAP:ed, but aren't in an alliance. This way they can have a joint forum.
+ Clickable character info on Profile. With this the administrator could setup so that people other than the admin could view the characters of a specific account. This one could be made public, limited to a group (say corp-members) or hidden (admin only). Simon Illian has made a code for this on the eve-dev (eve-dev.net) killboard info, that pulls the API and displays a page with a character sheet. The code is fully open-source iirc, so you could maybe nick it?
+ Skillpoints rounded and displayed on posts. Like the display of post-count, except skillpoint count? Maybe you could get a special rank once you hit 50 million skillpoints or something? (eg. EVE-veteran).
+ Profile character summary for easy application process. Imagine that you want to look at a members skillset and don't want to look over his skills manually, what if there was a way that this summarized it for you? For instance, a set combination of skills (eg. Interceptors 5, Evasive Maneuvering 5, etc.) makes you an Interceptor specialist, having all the skills for flying a carrier makes you a Carrier Pilot which displays instead of (or as a quick-view of) an elaborate character sheet on the profile page.
I got tons of more bad and good ideas. Lemme know if you want me to go on. XD

For me, I just want the version that allows for both non-corp members and corp members to sign up to the forums.

It's now been 1,5 months since 2.1 was announced in "the next few days". Oh well, thanks for your hard work anyways. |

Since PHPBB3 is basically a complete rewrite, I would say; no.

Originally by: Elana Vaho When trying to register with a char from the corp I get this error: "The API information you entered was invalid."
What is wrong?
You see, the API-information that you entered... it was invalid.
